• Forty percent of Canadians get help

    Results of the the Canadian Community Health Survey showed that 40% of Canadians with mental health problems report using health services for their mental health over the course of their lifetime.

    Young people perceived stigma and embarrassment, problems recognising symptoms (poor mental health literacy), and a preference for self-reliance as the most important barriers to help-seeking.
